Sebenza Freight Services is a registered clearing agent at all major ports and airports in South Africa. Import duties, taxes and Customs VAT are often levied on international shipments, and the calculations for these taxes are based on the shipment value. You can have a reasonable idea of the amount payable to the Customs Department of the destination country beforehand by providing the clearing agent with the value and a detailed description of the goods that you are shipping.

The documents that accompany your shipment become the ‘voice’ of the shipment.  Your goods will be classified, processed and inspected by the clearing agents and customs officials based on the information provided in the documents that accompany the shipment. Avoid unnecessary hold-ups at the border by including all the necessary information about the product on the commercial invoice and by providing a comprehensive packing list.
