Suzette – Big Cheese
I am Johannesburg born and bred and have been involved in the freight industry for almost 25 years. During this time, I have done customs broking and arranged shipments via road, air and sea freight. I have also been part of the accounting and administrative team of Sebenza Freight Services for many years. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Johannesburg and have successfully completed two FIATA diplomas in international freight. I enjoy writing and applying my new-found knowledge of marketing to promote the services of Sebenza Freight Services.
Tanja – Keeping things together
My clients are my passion and I enjoy finding the best logistical solution for every shipment. I have been in the freight industry for almost fifteen years and have completed the course on Freight Customs Compliance parts 1 and 2. Contact me for advice on your import or export shipments, whether it is by road, air, sea, RORO, break bulk or containerised cargo. I am very meticulous in ensuring that every small detail of each shipment complies with all relevant rules and regulations so that my clients do not receive nasty and costly surprises after the fact. When I am not dedicating my time to my clients, you will find me horse riding early in the morning in the crisp Highveld air. I have an artistic flair, love the arts and enjoy decorating and styling our home in my spare time.
Mark – Here, There, Everywhere!
Almost my entire career of 25 years was spent in the courier and freight industry. During this time I have been involved with the transportation of diverse products, and no shipment is too big or too small for our team. I enjoy a challenge and will not rest until I have found a workable solution. My qualification to transport Hazchem and Dangerous Goods has come in very handy in the past, especially for clients in the chemical and manufacturing industries. I love sport, especially soccer and rugby, and I am glued in front of my TV during world cup tournaments!
Michelle – Sorter Outer
Problem-solving intrigues me, which has come in handy in the over ten years that I’ve spent in the freight industry. I believe in providing constant feedback to my clients so that they are always aware of the movement of their goods. I can not only assist with regular import and export shipments, but I also hold an IATA – Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) qualification and can assist with the shipment of dangerous goods. People fascinate me and I love reading up on applied psychology in my spare time. I enjoy DIY-projects and doing gardening to relax.
Nthateng – Rising star!
Even though I am the youngest member of the team, I feel part of this warm circle of friends who are also my colleagues and clients. I enjoy learning more about our clients’ businesses so that I can assist them with optimal freight solutions. I am keen to learn and have completed the Customs Compliance level 3 course in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management. I am a bundle of energy and on week-ends you will find me hiking in the scenic South African countryside. When I am not outdoors, I am dancing the night away, or singing, or cooking up a storm.
